Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane carrying the US defense secretary was required to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The plane landed following established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative stated in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This event isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has experienced equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to head back to the US capital after suffering a mechanical problem.
