Fan Sentiment and Klopp’s Candid Remarks

The club claimed the Premier League in the previous campaign, but many fans who adore the manager would welcome the notion of his potential comeback. Speaking candidly, he explained to the podcast host: “I declared I will never coach another team within the country. Therefore if then it’s Liverpool...absolutely. Theoretically it’s possible.”

“Being 58, that means I might decide later on, who knows. Is a decision required immediately? Then I will not coach again. But thank God, no such pressure exists. I'll wait and observe what lies ahead.”

What Would Lure Him Back?

When asked about the specific conditions would have to unfold to bring him back to management, he confessed he feels no immediate pull to such a return. “I'm not entirely sure, My present work fulfills me,” he stated. “No longing for management; I avoid standing under bad weather for two-and-a-half or three hours; I'm glad to skip press conferences four times, three times a week or constant media duties a week.

“No nostalgia for the changing area as a dressing room, however, dining out with the players enjoying conversation, is pleasant. We won a lot of games so there was often positive atmosphere in the building. I still have the captain's chuckle ringing in my ears to illustrate.”

Praise for His Successor

He commended for his successor, acknowledging his role for the adjustments that took the title last campaign. Liverpool have lost four in a row across various tournaments post heavy investment, though he denied the idea it could be a slump.

“[Liverpool have] a top-class attacker in Flo[rian] Wirtz, doubters will be silenced with negative comments. An outstanding player. The French striker, superb talent. This is a well-built balanced team. No need for concern about Liverpool, things will improve.”

He shared movingly about the death of Diogo Jota, a player he signed while in charge, along with the consequences at the club. The forward died tragically in a road accident with his brother this past summer.

“How do you replace a person like him? This isn't just regarding the player himself, his personality mattered. I can’t imagine the dressing room without him in it. I find it difficult to discuss on this topic. It was an incredible shock for his teammates too. Not a single person will ever use it to justify results but it is the situation. Entering the changing area which he filled completely. Dealing with that emotionally is challenging. Unbearable.”
