Two Individuals Charged with Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per investigating officers.
Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes among them the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were confiscated.
